Case study: developing a mobile app through journey mapping
Design students at the University of Michigan used journey mapping methods to develop an app for chronic teenage patients in order to remind them of taking their medication.

Students first identified the problems adolescents have with existing apps thoroughly and then developed a new app to fix these problems and provide a better user experience.
The research led to a clear understanding of the struggles of these teens, converging to spot-on design insights. The design has created innovation in addressing the user needs and the product concept dramatically improves the current solutions.
